Yorkshire Air Ambulance Charity relies on the generosity of individuals and organisations to help save lives across Yorkshire.
Our People
Our two air ambulance helicopters fly daily, one with a crew consisting of a highly trained Pilot, a Critical Care Consultant level Doctor with experience in A&E and an Anaesthesia specialism, and a Critical Care Paramedic and the other with a crew consisting of a highly trained Pilot and two Critical Care Paramedics.
Together they form a highly skilled team, which responds to over 1,500 incidents, treats over 1,100 patients, and flies over 330 patients to major trauma centres & other hospitals across the county, each year.

Laura joined Yorkshire Air Ambulance in 2021 as HR Manager. She has a degree in Psychology and Human Resources Management and is CIPD qualified. Laura has worked in a variety of HR roles within a variety of sectors during her career – housing, utilities, financial services, and construction.

Kerry Dwyer is our Director of Fundraising for West and South Yorkshire and has worked for YAA since 2009. She is jointly responsible, alongside Helen, for overseeing our fundraising teams, implementing fundraising strategies, and making sure we’re reaching our fundraising targets.

Helen Callear is our Director of Fundraising for North and East Yorkshire. Prior to joining YAA in 2013, she ran her own timber agency working with European timber suppliers to the UK.
