SUMMARY:Tour De AKY
DESCRIPTION:The 6th charity bike ride in memory of North Yorkshire Police Dog handler Mick ‘AKY’ Atkinson (PC1066). \n\n\n\n\nThe 6th Tour De AKY takes place on Saturday 13th July 2024 and it is set to be the biggest yet\, with over 100 riders taking part. \nThis is a charity bike ride in memory of Mick ‘AKY’ Atkinson\, a North Yorkshire Police Dog handler (PC1066) who sadly took his own life in 2018. The ride is 106.6 miles long starting from Woodlesford in Leeds\, taking in locations that have meaning towards AKY. \nThe ride is a none competitive event in which cyclist of varied abilities take part\, raising money for MIND\, YORKSHIRE AIR AMBULANCE & ANDY’S MAN CLUB\, also aiming to raise awareness of mental health. \nThere are regular stops and refreshments along the route. Riders are split into 2 groups\, the social riders and the ‘fast’ riders\, and each group has a support van designated to it. All riders will be fed and watered during the ride but are encouraged to bring supplies. There will also be a cycle technician for any running repairs that may be required. \nDate: Saturday 13th July 2024 \nTime: Starts at 7 am for the social riders and 9 am for the ‘fast’ riders \nEntry is now closed but your support on the day will help the riders along!

DESCRIPTION:Outwood Academy Shafton pupils present their 4th annual Bike Fest in aid of Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Barnsley Food Bank. A fantastic day for all the family. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBike Fest Shafton is back for its fourth year! \nRun by the students of Outwood Academy in Barnsley\, Bike Fest Shafton features motorcycle shows and stalls. \nEntry is just £2 for the whole family. £1 for an individual.. \nShow bike entry is just £2. \nStall rental is £10 per table. \nProceeds from stall hire go to charity\, and this year Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Barnsley Food Bank have been choose as the supported charities. \nIf you are interested in a stall\, please contact Mr. Rooke at c.rooke@shafton.outwood.com for more information. \nAny type of motorcycle is allowed to be shown. They MUST be transported to the site legally and safely. \nOur team of fundraisers will be at the event with our Yorkshire Air Ambulance promotional vehicle and stall. They would love to see you and chat with you about the work of YAA\, so call by and say Hi!

DESCRIPTION:The 6th Annual Drighlington Gala\, set to be a great day out for all the family. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Drighlington Gala is back for it’s 6th year\, and we are extremely grateful that Yorkshire Air Ambulance have been chosen to receive proceeds from the day\, after supporting us for a number of years. \nOur Yorkshire Air Ambulance fundraising team will be there with a YAA stall and one of our air ambulance helicopters is scheduled to visit. Meet our crew and chat with them about the work of Yorkshire Air Ambulance.* \n*The helicopter will remain operational throughout and as such the visit will be subject to operational requirements and may be called away from the event at any time. If you are attending the event\, please follow the instructions of our YAA staff and representatives ahead of\, during\, and following the visit.
